The Contest

One of the things that always disappoints us about New Year's Eve party's is that after midnight the parties tend to lose energy. For our first Debaucherama we wanted to make sure that ours was more sizzle than fizzle so we came up with the idea of a contest (patent pending) that started at midnight and went until 1 a.m. in which partygoers competed to collect the most resolutions from other people in order to win the Debaucherama grand prize, a free pass to all our events for year 2008!

Here's how it went:

Upon entering the party, partygoers were asked to fill out a card with a New Year's resolution they wanted help breaking after midnight. Once filled out, the card was hung around the neck for all to see. Ambitious competitors devised strategies and worked their wiles on just how to ensnare as many participants (victims?) and cards as possible.

The clock struck midnight and the scramble began and, wow, was it a sight to behold! At one o'clock in the kinky kabaret's theater space the winners submitted their cards and a winner was declared. The winner had a rather mind-blowing number of cards and all would agree that pretty much everyone won at least a little something in the process.

Well we've upped the ante a little each year. And this year, we're doing it again...

As with last year, we're going to facilitate the entry process by letting you enter your New Year's resolution as part of your profile once you've activated your ticket. 48 hours before the event we will collect the resolutions and pre-print them for pick-up upon arrival at the club.

We'll be throwing in a few more, ahem, kinks in the days to come. Check back to this page at least once before the party to see what's new.
